Fire HD for Mac App Reviews

Very good app, the best of its kind.

Its hardly clearer than the free Fireplace App, and the logs arent as nicely set up on this one… stick with the free apps.

when I go in the full screen mode the entire video screen is all filled up with grains and goes out of focus! HD not!

This is just an app you can run in fullscreen, it does not work as screensaver though

What a great idea. Very nice videos. On my 27" iMac it looks like the real thing. Great way to create ambiance when company is over. Can the next version put out heat? :)

This app. is legit!! It looks like the real thing.....both fireplaces, candles, AND fireworks are awesome, look great and real! Well worth 99 cents :)

I have a 2009 MBP, running Lion, everything up to date, permissions correct, etc., and the 2 fireplace apps I downloaded wont show anything but a blank frame! I run CS5 and Final Cut daily, so its ridiculous that these wont work. help!

Its alright. Probably worth 99cents but there is only one fire sound effect for all three fires. Also, whoever filmed the fires didnt do a good job with exposure or any processing and they look a bit VHS… not really HD...

I regret buying this because competitors have come out with same price apps with way more screen savers. Need an update and I will rate this higher.

Bought this app today and installed it on my Mac (OS X 10.8.2). Disappointingly it does not work, i.e. does not start any movie. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!

This could be beautiful, but the flames are so fast that it looks fake and irritating. The only screen I can stand is the candles. Too bad there is no way to slow the flames so that it looks real.
